Re-Imagined Book

Hello, Carolyn here with my DT Members Featured Tuesday Make (you may want to make a cuppa first, sorry it’s long)

My Make is inspired by two things. Firstly a couple of artists I follow have been using books as their substrate and this reminded I had started a project last year where I had gutted a book, but left it as I did like where that project was going. Secondly the clocks changing and having to walk home from work in the dark.

Hello, Carolyn here and today I am sharing with you my Design Team Member Featured Tuesday Make.

I started with a blank MDF Album Cover from I love mixed media and painted it with Dark Chocolate Impasto paint. I used the ILMM Screwheads stencil and texture paste to add a bit of interest to the tabs, then covered with the same Impasto paint once dry.

Be Brave

Hello, Carolyn here with another Design Team Member Featured Tuesday Make.

For this project I used a piece of wood I found whilst out walking my daughter’s dog. Even though I found the piece of wood on the ground in the woods, my immediate thought was beach and driftwood, and that the Seahorse key would be perfect for this project.

Secrets

Hello, I am back for another Design Team Members Featured Tuesday Make. For this project my starting point was on old weathered piece of wood found in my garden, a plaque given to me by Denise to use and a “photo”. The shape of the piece of wood lent itself perfectly as a frame, so I chose a sticker from the Finnabair Vintage Photobooth sticker book to use as my photo.
